Then I put the screen over the v-stack and push the rubber ring into the v-stack making sure that no screen is sticking out of the edge between the rubber ring and the stack. Then I drilled the holes again this time going through the rubber ring. Then put the screws into the stack, through the screen and the rubber ring.

Next I put the nuts on and then a tiny dab of red locktite and tightened the nuts down.

Then I put in a piece of foam which is held in place by the end of the tiny screws.

Now it is ready to install onto a Torquer V-stack.

I use a Torquer v-stack because they are tall and hollow and I can use DDM air filter foams inside. I cut a screen to fit around the bolts that mount the Torquer to prevent anything like tiny nuts from being sucked into the carb.

Then I punched two holes into a piece of filter foam to fit around the bolt heads.

Then put one last foam inside the Torquer.

And there you have it..... a custom Webber V-Stack air filter. All toll it cost me about $50 to make this including a choke plate.

I almost forgot. In order for the filter pads to fit snug but not too tight I needed to cut the Torquer v-stack down 1/4". This way there is not a 3/8" gap between the filter and the carb or choke plate. If I didn't use a choke plate I could cut off another 1/8".

Very nice. Those Webber stacks are the perfect size for our carbs. I was wondering when someone would flatter me with making their own version. Thanks. They look so Old School racy.
