Woooo! Had tons of fun at grange this weekend! I learned a few things about the GTR too. First thing I learned... this ped has no business being on a kart track lol. It's fun but it turns like a jeep. Second thing I learned, this ped is friggin awesome in the dirt (it was pretty decent even with the stock fork). It flies over jumps, shreds down dirt roads, and has plenty of power to pull through sand and gravel patches. I'm thinking I need to switch to 140mm rotors both front and rear because the sound of rocks hitting my 160's is pretty common.

The new forks really balanced out the ped. They are a very good match, plenty of travel with the right stiffness. They are a bit springy for my taste... a couple guys at the track suggested that I try a heaver oil in the shocks.

I also learned that I cannot gear this thing beyond 10-82. 10T is the minimum front, and 82 is the max rear. If I run it on the leaner side that still gives me a top speed of about 58mph. I was hoping I could gear it for 50mph but never the less I think my clutch will be fine.

You are out of control. You are supposed to be just swapping a seal not building a case

Looks sweet. I wonder how much more it will rev when you set it up as a casereed?

Have you thought of reed stuffers or a Boyesen Rad valve?

Not sure if I will gain revs. My bet is that it will stay around 15k. I went with a v-force 3 reed. (V382) A bigger carb might yield some more rpm...
